What counts as a "Business Day"?
A standard business day (or working day) is any 24-hour period from Monday through Friday. It excludes weekends and official public holidays.
If a package says "3-5 Business Days," ordering on a Friday means the clock doesn't start ticking until Monday. A "5 Day" delivery might actually take 9 calendar days if it spans two weekends.
Legal contracts often specify "10 Working Days" for notices. This protects parties from having deadlines fall on days when banks and offices are closed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are holidays not automatic?
Public holidays vary significantly by region, country, and even municipality. To keep this calculator globally accurate, we provide a "Manual Holiday Adjustment" field where you can add or subtract specific days off.
Is Saturday a business day?
Usually, no. However, for banks in some countries and industries like retail or real estate, Saturday is considered a working day. We have included an "Include Saturdays" toggle to accommodate these specific schedules.
